Ari's Hope: From Grief to Grace

Ari’s Hope LLC is so much more than a nonprofit—it’s a piece of my heart. It’s a promise I made
through tears, through pain, and through the overwhelming love I still carry for my sister, Ari.
If you’ve known me, even for a short while, you’ve probably heard me talk about her. Ari wasn’t
just my little sister—she was my baby, ten years younger, with a laugh that lit up the room and a
heart that felt everything so deeply. I remember thinking she was the most beautiful baby I had
ever seen. On my wedding day, I was stunned by how radiant she looked. That same photo was
later used in her obituary. Looking at it now brings both joy and heartache—joy, because of how
full of life she was that day... and heartache, because there are no more moments for us to
share.
When we lost Ari, it felt like the air was pulled from my lungs. My heart shattered in a way I
didn’t know was possible. But in the midst of that pain, a quiet strength began to grow—a calling
to do something meaningful, to keep her memory alive, and to bring healing to others who are
hurting like she was.
And so, Ari’s Hope was born.
Today, I’m humbled and grateful to share that Ari’s Closet is officially open. (Located inside the
back room of 1107 54th Street) It’s already touching lives—offering clothing, toiletries, warm
meals, and most of all, dignity and love to those who need it most. Our mission is simple: to
create a safe place, a soft landing for the overlooked, the struggling, the brokenhearted.
This isn’t just a project—it’s a lifeline, built from the very pieces of my broken heart.
I still see Ari’s smile in my mind, hear her voice in quiet moments, and remember our
conversations—especially during the last year of her life. She was fighting so many battles,
many that the world never saw. I tried everything I could to help her, to love her back to life. But
some healing only God can give. And though I wish with everything in me that she was still
here, I know her story isn’t over.
Ari left behind three beautiful children. In her honor, 50% of all proceeds from Ari’s Hope will go
directly into a trust fund to help secure their future. Her legacy will live on not only in the lives we
touch—but in the lives she created.
I’ve often asked myself, “What becomes of the brokenhearted?” That question haunted me, until
I realized: we can become the healers. We can become the hope. Through this mission, through
Ari’s Hope, we’re reaching out to those who feel forgotten—and reminding them they’re not
alone.
If Ari’s story has touched your heart, I ask you to walk with us. Partner with us. Pray with us.
Share our story. Give, if you’re able. Every act of support—big or small—helps us keep going.
